Raising the BAR in haircare

We’re all familiar with the burgeoning trend for washing with soap, but who could have guessed that haircare would be next to join the bar bandwagon?

In a fightback against plastic products, soap and conditioner bars such as those by Fizzy Fuzzy are introducing scores of men and women to a new way of looking after their locks. One that is as much of a nod to the eco movement, as it is to the trend for ‘clean’ washing, without the use of silicones and parabens.

In the year to September 2018, sales of barred soaps were up by 2.9 per cent, and after taking the plunge into the world of barred bathing, it’s easy to see why.

Fizzy Fuzzy's range of solid shampoo bars are not just eco-friendly, they’re also packed with wonderful hair loving ingredients, including Argan Oil, Panthenol (aka Pro-vitamin B5), Wheat Protein and Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter. All the shampoo bars are also created to have a pH of 5.5, which matches the hair's natural pH, to help keep it in healthy condition. The bars are formulated to cater for a range of different hair needs, and one shampoo bar will last as long as 2-3 bottles of shampoo.

This is persuasion, if ever we needed it, of the power of going back to our ‘roots’ with personal care. Vintage inspired, ‘naked’ soaps are fast catching on, and these are a testament if nothing else to the small changes that can make a biggest difference, to everything from plastic waste... to bad hair days!
