With many of us beginning to think about starting our Christmas shopping soon (if we haven’t already!), it’s a fitting time to reiterate the importance of ‘shopping small’ when and wherever we can.
By supporting independent shops, artists, makers and small businesses as much as possible, it’s a step in the right direction of keeping our high streets, markets and small business economy vibrant!
Off the back of the last few years, the ‘Amazonification’ of retail has inevitably gathered momentum, and it’s this trend that makes it all the more vital to always ask ourselves ‘could I buy this from an Independent?’ before clicking ‘add to cart!’
This is the message from @justacard (makers of the Christmas pin pictured), whose annual campaign is geared towards supporting small businesses, to whom each and every sale is hugely significant.
Aside from making someone’s day, you might just find something unique that you wouldn’t come across in the big online stores.
