Harlow was diagnosed at 16 months old with a rare form of Ovarian Cancer called ‘small cell carcinoma’ of the ovary with hypercalcemia. She was diagnosed after a few days of “not normal” clingy behavior and throwing up several times. We were sent to the ER where they found a 10cm mass in her tiny pelvic area. Harlow went through two major surgeries, hundreds of pokes and procedures, 6 high intensity rounds of chemotherapy. And lastly, a stem cell transplant which landed her in PICU after an anaphylactic reaction. Harlow is one of the smallest fighters of ovarian cancer. But is now 20 months in remission and a true miracle. We are so blessed to have her here with us today on World Ovarian Cancer Day!
