Cooking apples might be best known for strudles and crumbles, but there’s actually more to the humble honeycrisp, than meets the pie… sorry eye!
For starters… baked apples make a mean fruit yoghurt!
Simply bake whole (skin on), scoop out the pulp and stir into some plain yoghurt, then voila…
A sweet, tart greek-style to load up with granola, and without the usual sugar, flavourings or additives you’d expect from something so dessert-esque.
In this era of throwing away less and innovating more, such examples of everyday waste-not-want-notting are music to our eco-conscious ears, and high breakfast standards alike!
