'Hot weather shouldn’t be a reason not to incorporate a facial oil into your routine'

Facial oils are something that many people swear by, but there’s some debate as to what extent (if any) these products fit into a summer skincare regime.

The general consensus among industry experts, however, is that hot weather shouldn’t be a reason not to incorporate a facial oil into your routine, even if the supposed heaviness of oil does seem counterintuitive.

No matter the weather, or time of year, a skin oil will make your routine feel luxe, and with a range of skin-care benefits owing to these oils’ essential fatty acids, there’s never a better time to get on board!

At Health Magazine, we’re big fans of facial oils, which is why today’s #selfcaresunday product review is dedicated to what we believe is one of the front runners in this category (the second is coming your way next Sunday)

Product description:

‘This is a gorgeous blend of beneficial oils specially chosen for their incredible rejuvenating properties, feeding tired, delicate or damaged skin with the essential vitamins and nutrients it needs to stay soft, healthy and hydrated.’

Our opinion:

‘In terms of absorbency, this plant-based formula doesn’t ‘sit’ on your skin like some oils can, which makes it just as suitable for day-time use (under your usual moisturiser) as it is as an overnight treatment, paired with a night cream. Rich in pure rosehip oil, lavender and Chamomile essential oils, it does work wonders in keeping skin hydrated, and used with a facial stone, makes a great carrier for a relaxing home-facial. Best of all, the oil is free from parabens, preservatives, petrochemicals or perfumes, and is cruelty-free and suitable for vegans’
