It’s all Greek…

As part of their weekly entertainment itinerary, the Contessina Hotel run a greek night where authentic music meets traditional cuisine.

The taverna menu consisted of 9 courses, the most stand-out examples of which were the sourdough with olive oil, oregano and hand-harvested salt (or afrala / ‘fleur de del’ as it’s known), the Greek salad with local-made burrata, the mussels with ouzo, pork chops cooked in parchment and the walnut crumble with lavender cream (so good I didn’t even get a photo!)

The two musicians afforded the perfect Zakynthian ambience to this unique dining experience, which gifted an unforgettable taste of the Mediterranean, coupled with a smorgasbord of delicious holiday memories.
