‘Never underestimate the restorative power of that which brings us closer to the natural elements’

Updated: May 19, 2021

As one of the greatest untapped resources for mental health, nature is finally receiving official recognition this week, for the crucial role it plays in caring for our minds.

As the theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2021, we are being reminded across the news and social media, not to underestimate the restorative power of anything which brings us closer to the natural elements.

From lawn-lounging...to the other extreme of forest bathing, it’s an investment which carries a high return for wellbeing, and not just for the escape hatch it offers from our own often all-consuming thoughts!

‘Time out’ - taken literally - also has powers to circuit-break the downward spiral of tech dependence - and other mental health obstacles - which at this time, is an opportunity we can ill afford to miss!

The campaign might have long passed, but we firmly believe the message still stands...
