VITAMIN D… but not as you know it!

With the season for staying in now upon us, attentions are once again on vitamin D, and quite rightly so!

The sunshine vitamin, after all, has many and varied roles to play in optimising both health and wellness, especially through the winter months!

In true bigger-picture style, however, we wanted to use this occasion of National Vitamin D Day, to acknowledge the next best ray of sunshine in our lives!! ☀️ 🐶

In a case of ‘if you know, you know!’ - a beloved pooch might just be the reason, that the prospect of staying in for the foreseeable, isn’t so bad after all!

According to the @mentalhealthfoundation, just stroking, sitting next to or playing with a pet can help relax and calm the mind, helping to give pet owners a clear advantage in the winter wellness stakes.

Yes, we’ll of course still endeavour to get our daily dose of daylight where we can, but when it’s cold, wet and dark… we’ll maybe settle for THIS, as a valid contribution to the vitamin D quota!
