Living with Tinnitus


Tinnitus is the term used to describe ringing in the ears, in the absence of any external sound. It’s often described as a buzzing, hissing, whistling, whooshing or humming. These sounds can be continuous or they can come and go, and it can affect one or both ears. Tinnitus can have a significant impact on sufferers’ quality of life, and while there is no specific treatment for the condition, there are several approaches to managing the symptoms, ranging from CBT to distraction techniques.
