Finally! The Cacto’s out of the bag…

I’ve got a few festivals and summer outings planned in the coming months, and one thing these events create a need for is… hydration planning.

All that walking, socialising and smouldering in the summer heat is thirsty work, and when bottled water and sweetener-laden soft drinks tend to be the default offering, pre-packing seems not just logical, but essential.

With this in mind, enter…Cacto!

This sparkling cactus water drink is crafted from fresh prickly pear purée (never concentrate) which is a natural source of fibre, magnesium (85mg per 100g, which is even more than bananas, which have 27mg) as well as antioxidants. Growing it requires no irrigation or pesticides, and the plant is also an efficient carbon-capturer, with one hectare of prickly pear storing the same CO2 as 13,000 trees. Cacto source their prickly pears responsibly from family-run farms in the Mediterranean, and also use packaging which is fully recyclable, with short supply chains to compound their impressive eco credentials.

For all these reasons, Cacto is helping self-care and festival-going find alignment, with each enhancing the experience of the other.
