I’ve tried many, many morning hacks over the years, but none have had the longevity of this one.
Among those that just didn’t ‘stick’, were the ‘Morning Pages’ ritual (where you have to wake up and immediately write down all the thoughts and ideas that come to mind, before the brain is fully awake), the warm-lemon-water-before-anything-else advice, and also the ‘golden hour’ set-your-alarm-for-5am practice that so many wear by, but which always just seemed too…brutal!
These habits - they weren’t the one!
I often rationalise this, with a bit of “reason, season, lifetime” thinking.
In other words, the idea that ‘healthy’ is relative to circumstance and individuality.
Also, that ‘good for you’ is sometimes less about the measurable health gains, and more about the learning curve (discovering what works, and what doesn’t, by way of strategic trial and error!)
