January…and the quest to reclaim my morning mojo!

For some reason, my once-on-point morning routine has descended into chaos in recent weeks.
It might be the weather.
It might be the dark.
Either way, I’ve well and truly dropped the breakfast ball.
Smoothies - once a hallmark of my well-oiled morning machine - have been replaced by coffee and fumes, and boy can I feel it!
In the interests of getting back on track, a self-imposed intervention was waged. An intervention based on what I know has worked in the past (smoothies) but with some strategic foreplanning thrown into the mix!
This is morning meal prep at its best, bringing together the key components of a balanced breakfast, in ready-to-blend portions!
This week, the ingredients included pineapple, spinach and banana, with Linwoods Flaxseed, Almonds, Brazil Nuts And CoQ10 added in for a vital protein boost.
This convenient and nutrient-rich product is made from cold milled ingredients, which preserves their nutrients, and it’s a great source of fibre, Omega-3 and Selenium, which contribute to the normal function of the immune system and metabolism.
The pineapple - it’s my little dose of sunshine in an otherwise dreary drudge of a month, and I have to say, the frozen element of this breakfast is a wake-up call in itself!
After a week of being back on the smoothie bandwagon, the mornings have resumed an all-important sense of order! Where once there wasn’t time amid the lunch box-making and school-running for breathing let alone eating, there’s now calm and coenzymes, and maybe just a hint of smugness!
