With today being Global Recycling Day, our attentions have turned once again to the how-to of living a more ‘circular’ lifestyle.
From skincare to food, furniture to clothes… there’s no mistaking the buzz surrounding reusing and ‘repurposing’ at the moment...both in terms of saving money AND preserving resources.
Spearheading this movement in the beauty sector, is vegan skincare brand @upcirclebeauty, whose cult favourite coffee scrub is made from coffee grounds sourced from artisan coffee shops... all housed in fully recyclable packaging.
It’s a fitting example of how recycling doesn’t just begin and end with the green bin, as it’s easy to assume.
Instead, it encompasses the minutia of our everyday buying decisions, with beauty and skincare providing some of the greatest leverage for improvement in this area.

To this end, there’s probably never been a better time to review and upgrade the contents of our bathroom cabinets. If nothing else, our green cred (and skin) will scrub up well in the process!
