‘The process of watching plants grow and flourish is both a satisfying and fascinating distraction’

Updated: Apr 28, 2021

Any other year, Plant Appreciation Day would probably have slipped below the radar of health-related talking points.

This time, however, it’s struck a chord.

House plants have become increasingly popular in the last year, helping bring some much-needed joy and colour into our lives at home.

The rewards of being a ‘plant mum’ are not to be underestimated, especially when growing from scratch... such is the case with this little sunflower plant.

The process of watching plants grow and flourish is both a satisfying and fascinating distraction, but it’s not just here where the advantages lie.

Indoor gardening has also been shown to improve health and wellbeing in other ways, by boosting air quality, relieving stress and boosting creativity, focus and productivity.

It’s an impressive feat (for such a little plant especially), but as a new and novel approach to everyday wellness .. the idea has definitely planted a seed!
